Favourite Bury cafes named ahead of Independents’ Day weekend

With Independents’ Day UK weekend approaching, we asked Bury residents what their favourite cafĂ©s and restaurants are in the borough.
The business awareness weekend falls on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 and is a campaign that exists to support and promote independent firms across the UK.
There were many places in Bury that were mentioned by residents but three eateries were named multiple times.
Leckenby’s situated on Minden Parade in Mill Gate Shopping Centre was the place listed the most.
Popular for their afternoon tea as well as their high-quality food and drink, it’s the place to go if you want a traditional English tearoom.
Many comments praised the cleanliness of the tearoom as well as the friendliness of the staff while someone said a trip to Bury wouldn’t be complete without going to Leckenby’s.
One said: “Leckenby’s restaurant in Bury.
“Lovely relaxing space, the food is just so well presented and good quality. Every member of staff is excellent and attentive.”
Another added: “I love Leckenby’s, the best, classy, wonderful food and great service, the cleanliness is second to none!”
